Pura Gunung Lebah or commonly known as Pura Campuhan by the locals is a beautiful temple situated by the river in Ubud. Was fortunate to be in Ubud at the right time of a major festival (blessing made to the extension of the temple) that was held here over a span of a month. Every evening for the entire month, various balinese cultural dances and shows were put on. Its was an auspicious event and we were very lucky to attend it!

Quiet, peaceful and certainly less tourist, the Sangeh Monkey Forest temple. Situated in Bukit Sari, this temple is the sanctuary to grey long-tailed macaques. These group of monkeys are rather wild (as they are not used to tourist) but they are not as cheeky as those bag-unzipping-water-bottle-snack-theives you find in Uluwatu or Ubud's Monkey Forest. Its a very peaceful and beautiful place to visit. |
