Hipster café’s are a thing of the past. This place speaks nothing but hippie central. The modest furnishings of Moroccan styled wooden furniture combined with some beautiful art work to one side, this place has an electric hippie vibe. The only thing missing is a shisha pipe.

Divine fresh food and a variety of fresh juice concoctions is Konscious Café. Inconspicuously nestled in Damansara Perdana, this little cafe is worth the hunt - without a signboard in tow, this place can be easily missed.

The café is a joint venture by a group of individuals that are trying to raise funds to make their own documentary as well as help out other artist. Pamela, one of the owners took time to explain that the barren walls on one side of the café are for artist to display their still artwork. Anyone is welcome to also play their video work as they have a projector in house – and all this for absolutely free of charge! Their aim is to help artists like themselves to have an outlet to display their talent and work.

The café itself is beautiful if not quirky. The mixed matched furniture adds to the allure of this place. The chalkboard menu wall, followed by paintings and little drawings makes your eyes wonder. Their group of designers does the artwork in here, and the style varies quite a fair bit, which makes it interesting.

The food here is simply sublime. Everything in here, where food is concerned, is made fresh in their kitchen and its free from refined sugar, flour, dairy, wheat and chemical. So if you’re planning to have a healthy meal out from home, this is the place to be.

*They even have their own herb garden at the corner of the café. Can’t get fresher than that!

The food is amazing and their health juices are some what interesting, especially their own blend of concoctions. If you’re coeliac and looking for somewhere to have a meal without confusing the waiter, this place would be it – almost half the menu is gluten free!

The lounge music, interior and soft mood lighting made it perfect on a rainy day. It was soothing, relaxing and having a bowl of Vietnamese Beef Pho sends one into a dream like state where all your senses are relaxed, mellowed down and you’d want to do nothing but enjoy the present.

I love this café cause:

The food is beautiful and healthy!
Being slightly health conscious these days, eating out can be a bit of a chore. But this café serves some healthy wholesome meal that is free from wheat (this culprit makes you bloated like a hot air balloon) and chemicals, plus it taste amazing that makes eating out such a comfort. The menu has quiet a variety and the drinks are… lets just say delicious, interesting and healthy.

The vibe is so hippie I transform into one.
The entire café might not conform to a certain theme or design rule, but one thing is for sure, the mix and match of things comes together well to send out this hippie vibe. 15 minutes in there and you’re sure to mellow down and unwind. It has that feel and I personally love it.

No one really knows this place.
No signboard – hidden in a corner – subtle exterior. It’s so easy to drive past this place without glancing at it twice. Hardly a crowd in here makes it perfect for a meal followed by a nice cuppa and a book to slip into that Zen mode, preparing for the heavy week a head.

*If they had a hammock and a shisha pipe, I would never leave.

Hi! I tried looking for this cafe 2x! Really wanted to try their Khanom Jeen.. But I couldn't find after going round and round.. I went round the commercial block.. I just realise I didn't check out the one way road ahead (by the condo) when I turned right around the block.. Is it there and not at the commercial block?

Hi Melanie,

This place is close to Curious Goat (which is easier to look up with WAZE or GPS). Now from Curious Goat, followed the road around to the right and drive straight ahead (shops should be on your right), pass the left turn to join the main road, and drive straight to the end. At this point you will spot a huge dry-cleaner on the corner. Park your car here and walk around the the dry-cleaners on the right, they are just at the end of it.

Its rather tricky as there is no sign board expect for the dry-cleaners. Good luck finding it!

Ps: Its not far from Empire Damansara. If Empire Damansara is on your right, this place is on your left - the shop lots.
